Melbourne's Street Art

Melbourne is known as one of the world's great street art destinations for its unique expressions of art. In the 1970s and 80s, most of the city's youth were deeply influenced by the graffiti of New York that subsequently became popular in Melbourne's inner suburbs as well. Since the beginning of the 21st century, various other forms of street art began to appear in Melbourne including sticker art, poster art, graphs and reverse graffiti.
